Shipping Tips Below!

HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR SHOP

Alert our shop that your flowers are on the way.

Send us your tracking number so we can watch your package or help locate it if need be

Send us a photo or a series of photos before you box up your flowers so we can easily identify your florals and match your order if other information is missing.

PACKING YOUR FLOWERS

Please see the information below and find your season. Follow the tips along with the following :

  • Use a box that is just a tad bit larger than your florals. Too big of a box will create too much space for your flowers to move, too little space could create unnecessary bruising of your petals.
  • You can secure a bouquet to the bottom of your box by using tape to tape the stems to the box to keep your flowers from moving in transit. Also, write a "This Side Up" sign with an arrow
  • Use packing peanuts to hold your florals in place.
  • Put a Card with your name, telephone number, email address and a copy of your order if you have one in your box. There are times that the return label is missing or damaged.

WINTER SHIPPING

If it is Winter please note you are sending your blooms to the North! Michigan is cold cold cold! This means that your box will likely be subjected to the frigid temperatures of our climate.

No worries though! Here are a few tips:

  • Send your package overnight so it will get to us as quickly as possible.
  • Add Hand warmers to your box to keep the core temperature as comfortable as possible.
  • Use an insolated box if possible
  • DO NOT put extra water around the bottom of your florals. We know this sounds terrible to say but it could freeze. It could also leak and then freeze your blooms in your box. Your florals will be fine with out the extra water in transit on a one day shipment. We will rehydrate them and care for them once they arrive at the shop.

Contact Hannah's to discuss how many flowers we need for your preservation. If you are getting a smaller piece or jewelry, it is likely that youwill not need to send the whole bouquet, often a few of your favorite florals will do! This cuts down on the shipping cost and the amount ofpackaging you will be purchasing.

*Note that flowers are often kept in our coolers at between 38 and 42 degrees. They are very happy at this temperature and will go dormant. Hand heaters are not needed unless the temperatures are below 40 degrees

SUMMER SHIPPING

  • Send your package overnight so it will get to us as quickly as possible.
  • If it is really hot, add a cold pack to your box to keep the core temperature as comfortable as possible. Please keep the cold pack off of the florals to avoid possible freezing of blooms. Remember we are just trying to keep the inside of the box slightly chilled, not necessarily the flowers. Place cold pack in a zip lock bag and wrap with a towel if possible.
  • Use an insolated box if possible
  • Send your blooms with a drink. Wet paper towel, wrap it around the stems of the florals and then put the stems in a zip lock or bag to keep the paper towel moist.
